Perks and Re-creation was established in 2019 after donating two 18-hole disc golf courses to the city of Little Rock, Arkansas. The next year, imagining disc golf courses where they did not exist, led to the start of the Perks Pop-up: full courses set up for single days of play. In 2021, Perks launched its disc golf clothing brand, following up a year later with the opening of Little Rock’s first disc golf boutique named simply Perks and Re-creation. Located in the historic Sterling building downtown, the shop displays a curated selection of discs and apparel with thousands more items available both in-store and online. Coming in 2023: Perks Putts and the Par Bar, a 9-hole indoor course and seating area situated above the store.
